Year 4: Rhythm & Moves
In Rhythm & Moves, the children focus on creating
characters and narrative through movement and gesture.
They gain inspiration from a range of subjects, and work
in pairs and small groups.
• exploring and creating characters and narratives
using simple choreographic principles to create
motifs and narrative
• performing more complex dance phrases and dances
that communicate character and narrative
• describing, interpreting and evaluating their own
and others’ dances
