Amazing Africa: A Celebration
A sweeping journey across the geography and
history of Africa illustrated with songs, music
and dancing. From its role as the birthplace of
humanity, this workshop investigates the way Africa
colonized the world and the challenges facing the
continent today.
• Discovering the early African Kingdoms of Kush
and Axum, the Medieval Kingdoms of Sudan
(Mali, Songhay, and Ghana) and the Kings of
Mali and Egypt.
• Learning songs and dances from each region,
African children’s games and traditional
African dishes.
